This is the shortest-lived Amiga ever, lasting only six months until it was phased out by the A600. This was yet another of Commodores secrets with many people opening their Amigas at Christmas expecting to find a A500 only to find something much better. It looked physically similar to the A500, but updated it with 1mb of ram, Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) and Workbench 2.0 which turned the horrible blue interface of workbench 1.3 into a much more lovely grey and blue.

Commodore-Amiga 500plus
In the history of the Amiga computers, not much is to be said about the A500+.
Commodore released the A500+ in 1992. It was an enhanced version of the 500 offering the new operating system and the enhanced chip set. The A500+ was only released in Europe and was promptly discontinued and replaced by the Amiga 600 in summer 1992.
The main reason for releasing the A500+ was to introduce the new operating system and reduce the cost of production. However, the new operating system was not compatible with a lot of games.
The Amiga 500 Plus was physically identical to the old A500.
